Our new Hennepin design with curb elevated cycle tracks would work really well if it weren't for curbside loading, which is illegal.

I use the cycle lanes frequently and they work well except for the curbside loading. Would be nice if the city enforced it #minneapolis #urbanism

Or built a wall like we have in winter

@walk Or at least add some paint (the example I provided is extreme). But a painted pathway probably wouldn’t matter for the people standing around, waiting to see a show.

@walk It's terrible for traffic too! I doubt there's a good model for camera-based enforcement or ticketing on this but, like, could they put up a fence or something? Hennepin is not an airport dropoff lane

@Quisley there are police officers standing right there, they could simply tell the Uber driver they can't pickup there. Like 100% of the time there is an mpd officer there
