I've been using the #SerifAffinity suite of apps for a while now. It's been great so far, and they do have some neat features and make some things I frequently do really easy.

However, sometimes when I use the apps, I run into some really weird missing features.

#AffinityPhoto:
OK, so I want to scan photos. How do I scan photos?
"Sorry, there's no support for TWAIN/WIA. You need to scan in a separate app."
...scanning in a separate app is a thing people do nowadays? Get off my lawn

#AffinityDesigner:
OK, so I have a black and white bitmap, how do I trace that to vectors?
"Sorry, there's no support for tracing. You need to do that in a separate app."
...literally every vector art app since dawn of the millennium that I've used has supported bitmap tracing. Okay, maybe I've just been lulled by #Inkscape into thinking that this is a basic feature.

I haven't used #AffinityPublisher that much yet. I hope it doesn't go "Aww, but who *actually* needs to export to PDFs these days?" (...I know it supports it 😈)
