I remember when my wife was pregnant and my cat was so very interested in her belly, but after she gave birth had no interest in the baby. It was a weird way to find out that my cat was a Republican.
@unclepj
That cracked me up good.
@unclepj That is a genial test. I will try it on my dog 🐶
@unclepj Most of the cats that ever owned me were Independents. At least that's how they voted.
@unclepj I wonder if she could hear faint sounds from inside that drew her interest?
@unclepj good one…I sure she is a good kitty….in-spite of….
@lillyfinch I redrew the voter districts in my house… just in case!
@unclepj From the book “Dies the Fire”:
@ehurtley Well done. You have a very well developed associative memory. Cheers!

@unclepj It's one of two quotes I have highlighted in the Apple Books app, across all books. The other is from the same book, referring to the same cat:

"...looking like a puddle of insufferable aristocratic orange smugness."

(Then again, I only have a couple dozen books in Apple Books, most are either in Kindle, or are cross-reader-app/device ePub format that I read on multiple devices.)

@ehurtley I have the same problem with eBooks. They’re all over the place from years of reading. To make Matt worse, I started buying audiobooks for long drives. Now I have some of my favorite titles there as well.
@unclepj You had me in the first half... not gonna lie 👀 lol
@unclepj At least, animals are frank 😆
@conny_asf_ggg Mine is named Fang. Don’t think Frank is that common of a pet name, frankly.
@unclepj I wondered, should I have ssid "honest"?
@unclepj or a republican dressed as a democat.
@unclepj reminds me of:
"Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand."

@Tattie @unclepj

there was a political compass meme with cats, the libertarian cat had literally tried to lick a boot, got stuck fast inside and was on the desk of the vet or at the fire station, being rescued and released 😁
