While watching Kpop podcasts, I got this rec for a show called PeakTime, and it's pretty cool.

Idols who haven't quite made it where they want to be compete as teams to win a concert to get their name known. In fact, they are given numbers and not allowed to say the name of their former groups until they are disqualified, or they win.

I was super surprised to see one of the groups I follow get eliminated in round 1. Also, there are some hotshot veterans. RECOMMENDED

From long hiatuses to unexpected disbandment, major lineup changes, or more recently, simply fading into the background due to the pandemic, there are many reasons why a group might drift out of the limelight. Eager for a chance to prove themselves once again, these determined idols are stepping into the limelight once more, but whether or not they stay there is entirely up to them. In a brand new survival reality program, idols and rookies alike will compete for a chance to take the stage in a globally broadcasted showcase unlike any other.  Under the tutelage of some of the industry’s brightest stars, the contestants will have a chance to learn from the best. But how they apply those lessons will determine whether or not they’ll secure themselves a place in the spotlight. @Rozzychan oh my.
The body movement and control is enough to make me jealous. lol

Also unrelated except for song: did you see Wooyoung’s performance for the song?

They’re both distinct, natch

@glitchontwitch
Do you mean this one?

I can see the choreographer took a lot of inspiration from it.

@Rozzychan It's been a while since I watched it, and was mostly thinking about the parts that live rent free in my head forever.

Like, the group flipping him bit.

But yeh, I was thinking it was a similar school of dance or vibe or the like. I do not know these things though so...

Oop, that's the same performance, but I prefer this view mostly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhoPI50W6i8

@glitchontwitch

Thanks for the rec. They have been releasing more and more of the intermediate steps in this choreo, and I can begin to piece together how they got there.

This is a key piece. It has the crotch grab. It has the black pants. It has the footwork and the tempo. It has some of the positions.
Stealing the flip would have been too obvious, and might have lost them points, because they were supposed to show teamwork, and not emphasize the individual.
Great tip!
