Because I’m seeing toxic positivity floating around lately….

It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to be anxious, frustrated, depressed, bummed, or even entirely sickened by the state of the world. It’s okay to feel a visceral need to howl in the face of injustice. It’s okay to grieve and worry and weep.

Those feelings are as much a part of life as happiness.

Ignore anyone who tries to shame you by calling you “negative.” You are a human, not a highlight reel.

@SarahGrey It's a shame society spends so much time trying to police others' emotions when it could spend time valuing/cultivating empathy and holding space for authentic expressions of feeling, which create meaningful human interaction and healing.
