Do you ever buy a product and it just feels like such a good idea that it should have been popularized a long time ago? For example, i bought a knife which comes with a sheath with a sharpener inside so that you can store in a drawer without worrying about cutting yourself, and it's always amazingly sharp.

@bkardell my gut says there's some advancement in materials science that makes that one work.

Not all advances are in computers, even if we tech folks forget sometimes 🤣

@maggiepint Ok i thought maybe that too, but I'm not sure how it would necessarily have been implausible before.. but yeah in that case it could be. Here's another one then what about these things. I grew up in places with real small kitchens where space was at a premium and i never saw these but they're so great, you can "unroll" it over a sink not just for drying but for some extra counter space when you need it.
