you should have to apply for a license to publish a children's book in rhyme
if a kids book is written well in rhyme it's like magic - Shel Silverstein's "Giraffe and a Half" is great and the EXPERIENCE of reading it is amazing, you feel like you're flying. If a kids book is written poorly in rhyme and you're reading it out loud it feels like your teeth are coming out
@mark Yes! Reading aloud is such a learned skill that I genuinely appreciate good audiobook narrators. When my kids were young I could only read the Dr Seuss books aloud when I was worn out from the day - something about the rhythm that kept me on track.
