Florida is now passing a law allowing doctors to deny ANY medical care...just because they feel like it

HB 1403 will literally nullify The Hippocratic Oath along with any decency Florida once had

The Tea Party, who used to rally against "Democrat death panels" ?

It was them the whole time.

@flexghost it's all about projection with them! "Evil is on the eye of the beholder" ! Don't allow domestic terrorists a place in the government. This is very VERY bad.

"#Florida is the silver lining of #ClimateChange" - A very liberal and woke iceberg

So, they have become like the insurance conglomerates. Like every other segment of employment, there are already bad actors practicing medicine. Legislation just caught up with the one career we believed was mostly filled with well-intended practitioners. Surprise...it's not.
@noondlyt funny you should mention insurance conglomerate since the GOP ranks are filled with insurance fraud along with Medicare, and you name it
@noondlyt @flexghost They are small businesses and like any small business, looking out for their bottom line. Surprisingly large number of wingnuts and RWNJs in the medical profession. I found this out first-hand during the Obamacare debate, when I'd ask my doctors what they thought of the Affordable Care Act.
This is exactly what Putin has done in Russia over the last two decades. The people that fled him, and his regime are residing in FLORIDA and want to make the American dream into a Russian nightmare.
@flexghost
The first civil war came from states trying to quit the country. This one should start with states being kicked out of the country.
@flexghost As a retired physician, I can say this is an exceedingly bad idea.
@flexghost "Every Republican accusation is an admission" read this somewhere, it's seemed true
@flexghost
Where is that Florida-size Skilsaw when we need it? And how can we detach Texas and launch it out to sea?

@flexghost

so, if someone lives in FL and gets shot, not dead, but badly wounded, and they get to a hospital, a doctor can refuse to help them? Maybe that's how we get rid of guns!

@flexghost It's always projection. ALWAYS.

@flexghost Another horrific move by the Florida legislature , they really want to set everything on fire.

I feel bad for those who want to leave FL but lack the means.

@flexghost with republicans, it's always projection.
@flexghost It's an Oath to Asklepius and/or Apollo, if I remember right, and if I learned a thing about Greek gods is you don't want to fuck with them.

@flexghost
So they are giving doctors more authority to deny care based on the individual physician's ethics, while also restricting their ability to rely on those ethics to PROVIDE certain kinds of care.
Sure, what could make more sense?
Unbelievable.
