Arguing to them is as pointless as teaching pigeons to play chess. At some point they kick over all the pieces, crap on the board, and then fly back to the roost, to tell all their pigeon buddies, how they lucked your ass, playing chess.

CIWS-30@rbreich Good intentions, but no argument will work, and you'll probably end up making an enemy, and one that might be unhinged and have a gun, and maybe friends who are the same.
Depending on where you live and who you associate with, trying to argue with people with conservative opinions may solve nothing, but make you plenty of enemies.
Luis Crespo@CIWS30 @rbreich A strategy in psychological warfare is to make your enemy lose hope, so they give up the fight. We shouldn't give up, just talk about better alternatives. Maybe just outnumber and outvote the deluded people, by convincing non-deluded people that this is the most important issue if they care about the wellbeing of their descendants. This is whom the message is for.
