I want to tell parents of trans kids under attack in the red states something:

This is simply horrifying. Like you, we can't understand how any politicians could stoop so low as to attack the most vulnerable among us.

You are strong, and we will fight for and beside you. And though we may lose these initial battles, your love and strength will help win this in the end. I know that to be true.

@georgetakei the attacks on reproductive rights and the LGTBQ community are the result of an internal struggle within the GOP between mainstream conservatives and Christian Nationalists. It is going to be a rough couple of years until 2024, but I believe that the next election cycle will force the GOP to expunge the far right elements of their party if they want to survive. In the mean time the DNC will regain control over the House, the Senate and the White House.
