The European Sleeper: 'there is enough demand to have a nightly service instead and to launch new routes to southern Europe and Scandinavia — if only he could find more trains.' Exciting prospects! I would so love to only travel by train in Europe. @BeateSjafjell @seatsixtyone There is also an enormous infrastructure project ahead, building rails and tunnels. Big parts of Europe is unreachable still by train but we must use several boats and buses, not only luxury of staying in trains.

And we need service! Longer trips require more luggage to be transported from a transport to a transport, a work you must do yourself now compared to flights when you can travel light (though I know we care too much of hygiene nowadays. :-D ).

@jukkamahonen @seatsixtyone I am quite happy to combine trains, boats and buses. Travelling like that does mean travelling light enough to take the luggage with me (I haven't heard of anybody expecting a separate service transporting the luggage). At least we can freely take a bottle of water or a jar of peanut butter with us without worrying about security at the airport. :) We can also turn this around and say that big parts of Europe *are* reachable by train. @jukkamahonen @seatsixtyone PS When I wrote 'I would so love to only travel by train in Europe' in the original post, I meant as opposed to flying. I should have been more precise, of course. ;)
