I want to tell parents of trans kids under attack in the red states something:

This is simply horrifying. Like you, we can't understand how any politicians could stoop so low as to attack the most vulnerable among us.

You are strong, and we will fight for and beside you. And though we may lose these initial battles, your love and strength will help win this in the end. I know that to be true.

@michllemalone Florida is literally crafting laws that will make it a capital offense to be trans in public. That's not hyperbole, they are doing it. They want to make it a death-penalty crime to commit a sex offense in the presence of a child, and they want to make dressing in a manner other than your gender assigned at birth a sex offense. This is not theoretical. This is a new round of Nuremberg laws designed to erase trans people. It's genocide. That's what he means.
