Michael Busch@GreenFire @beforewisdom @rodhilton @timberwraith Saturn-Apollo 2 and Saturn-Apollo 3, two of the robotic test launches using the Saturn I early in the Apollo program, were both scuttled a few minutes into flight.
But they were both designed and intended to be exploded; with large tanks of water in place of an actual spacecraft - to make clouds that were easier to observe.
