Someone is too stupid to plan train journeys now but luckily the one-minute connection in Amsterdam Centraal worked out.
So, a verdict on the ICNG? It’s … okay, I guess. The interior continues what the DDZ started although the design is more plain. Seats are okay for airline style but too short for vis-a-vis. Ride quality is worse than I expected after having been on Trenitalia’s Pop (same family but slower, maybe that’s the reason or it just felt better after all the Ansaldo-Breda stuff?), rather quite rumbly. Level boarding is fantastic, though, somehow
much better than the SNG.
Do you really have to split this compartment in two down the middle of the window? Now you have two vis-a-vis bays with dreadful window alignment – the compartment behind the door has the same arrangement. Also, those doors being swing doors when everything else is sliding doors with buttons is very confusing. I stood there like an idiot, looking for the opener.
“You will find the emergency exit under your seat.”
@partim gotta love the wagon number though! 😍
@DoorleO They do that on all Dutch trains – and also use the number in announcements, e.g. if they drop a carriage along the way they tell you which number it has so you can quickly check.
@partim @DoorleO I love that. Nicely animated and clear.
