Sean@shelenn @dell imagine if readers could join their favorite news outlet's instance, it would bring diversity of large well funded instances while retaining subscribers. There's a possibility that Mastodon dot Social becomes the default, ostensibly undercutting the fediverse by centralize the service, but if a dozens or hundreds of instances were maintained by news outlets while small instances remained in parity with them decentralization would be assured
