Every time this happens a person with Irish roots gets their wings. At this point some of them probably have closets full. I once told an aunt at a family reunion who asked why my father hadn’t arrived at the same time as us girls had, that we had seen him broken down on the side of the highway, but didn’t want to be last in line for the pie. Every person she worriedly told it to, looked at her sideways and said “You know that’s Al’s daughter, right?”…Always check the source.😜
