If you live in a state that has or is trying to de-facto ban your pride parade, it's time to go old school.

I help organize one of the world's largest *unpermitted* annual demonstration marches, and I'm happy to connect you with our coalition to learn how you can do the same.

We will NOT be silenced in OUR streets.

If you're curious about what I mean by unpermitted march, we gather and take the streets without communicating with police or municipal authorities.

If they want to attack 10s of thousands of queer people in the street for demanding our rights, that's on them.

@ieatkillerbees

1) This. Yes.
2) What is the unpermitted march you speak of?

@cautionwip queer liberation march nyc. this will be our fifth year
@ieatkillerbees @cautionwip and I will be traveling to it this year

@ieatkillerbees Have skimmed the site now, and am up to speed.

Full solidarity here & I wish more Canadian cities did likewise.

The corporatization of Pride is ridiculous. In most CDN cities you can’t march unless you’re in a group that’s registered & paid for the privilege. When I lived in TO we would reg a group called Random Queers, then put out a call via social media for any non-affiliated folks who wanted to march to join us. Got a great bunch of random queers every year. :)
