Does any know if this is true? If it is, that's rather scary. If the majority of the population is wandering around with nothing in their heads, it does explain a lot... #internaldialogue

I’m not sure if this really counts, but I don’t think in words. I do have an internal dialog, it’s just not words. I can only describe it as nonverbal ideas, along with images, that I only need to translate into words when I communicate with others. It took me many years to understand that most people have a verbal dialog going on most of the time.

@Jedigirl Do people who have an internal dialogue vocalize it to themselves, as well? I think I do. In fact, I've often said that if i didn't talk to myself, I might have no intelligent conversation in my life at all.

@Jedigirl I'm not sure this can be true. And it doesn't mean that those who don't "talk to themselves" don't have thought process. We're all humans, we can think.

Many people don't understand thought as dialogue though. Maybe this study was related to that. I don't know.
