A potluck, but everyone brings different ginger beer brands so I can find the "spiciest".
I think right now I'm at Reed's "Extra", but I haven't tried their "Strongest". Also, I just found one made in Brooklyn (Brooklyn Crafted, Extra Spicy) and it's PRETTY good but I wish it was a little bit more carbonated.
@hbuchel our top right now is Bundaberg, second is Goslings.
@mikesusz Goslings is probably the one I buy the most (not for being "spicy", but I like the taste for drinks/cocktails). I really liked Bundaberg too but I don't see it too often here. We had it all the time in Detroit. It might just not be popular for corner stores to carry.
@hbuchel ah yeah not spicy but Goslings is the commodity. an interesting thing when you descend into ginger beer is trying to drink a ginger ale again. i find it to be vague brownish water.
@mikesusz Yessss. Or if you ask at a bar if they have ginger beer so you can order a specific drink and they make it with ginger ale :( :(
@hbuchel i relayed your comment to my wife and she said “this might be dark… but it’s not very stormy…”
