If you were dumb like me and used to have a Facebook account anytime between May 24, 2007 through December 22, 2022, you can submit a claim to get money from Facebook from a settlement over privacy. I was a user from 2006-2018 and was very happy to complete this form.

Facebook owes us $725 million: here’s how to get your cut

American users who had active Facebook accounts between May 24th, 2007, and December 22nd, 2022, may be able to receive a payout as a part of a class action settlement related to the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

Took me 2 minutes flat to sign up. Highly recommend people take a look!
This is what it felt like when I deleted my Facebook account 5 years ago.
Yes, $725M Facebook Class Action Settlement Is Legitimate

About 250 to 280 million Facebook users are eligible to receive funds from the proposed class action settlement.

@jon As an Illinois resident, I got $300 from the Facebook BIPA settlement, and I'm waiting for similar from Google Photos. Retaining these accounts is basically worth it for the class action payouts at this point.
@jon Just filled it out! Can't wait to get those zuckerberg buckerbergs!! 💶 💰
@joe I'm just thankful they're not trying to pay in Diem tokens.
@jon I find it super sketch that there isn’t a more centralized trustworthy place for settlement info. Like you can just create fake settlements and harvest people’s data, if you want.
@b_cavello it's definitely worth doing a search first to verify. If you do it for this one, you'll find it was covered fairly well by trusted media outlets, and they all included links to the site.
@jon yeah, I have seen this one around, but I think this is a bigger issue. (Also the fact that the privacy policy on this one includes collecting your data for promotions feels… kinda gross)
@jon “dumb and in the USA” is the requirement. I was also lacking in judgement, but did so from
Australia… so no zuckerbucks for me.
@benschwarz if I ever make it to Australia again, I will share in my zuckerbucks and buy you a beer 🍻
@jon just wait til you see how expensive beer is here 😅
