Yes, the province reduced funding by 31% (as Usher puts it, "horrifying," but not as bad as the conservative government had said they would do) and did it over three years, not five. They levied a greater cut at the U of Alberta than any other institution.
Perhaps the most dispiriting part about this graph is that despite the fact that the province is currently seeing record oil and gas royalty revenue that has them billions of dollars in surplus that they continue to cut our funding.
