Tim MillsOne quibble I have with the IPA set available is the inconsistent use of phonemes and allophones. If it's only contrastive phonemes, then why have the tap [ɾ]? If some allophonic variation is represented, why *only* tap? I'm thinking about today's [ɔ], which it transcribed as [o͡ʊ].
* This is not a complaint about the game - I suspect it's just taking the transcriptions from the source without alteration or inspection. Maybe I should look up the source - perhaps it has an explanation for this apparent inconsistency.
