I had a letter in the post today with a breast screening appointment for 3 weeks time.

My NHS record has, for the past month, shown me as female so the appointment itself is not a huge surprise. I'm a full A cup at present.

My question is, have any other transladies had similar before any hormone effects were noticeable? Did you cancel the appointment or proceed?

Some history: After using veggie based HRT in 2008 I had an ultrasound scan at the local breast screening centre, this was shortly before my mother had a double radical mascectomy for breast cancer ... so I am at risk.

I will be contacting the unit regardless but interested to know who else has been in this predicament?
