@alexh now I had a chance to look at this, I'm surprised how strict it is on APCs. Any chance of a rating system, with different "levels" and different standards? I'm really looking for a list of non-profit journals, regardless of APC. Are many journals excluded from freejournals.org on this criterion?
@alexh just looked up the definition of diamond open access, and I guess I should not have been surprised. 😅
@sarahmcintyre yeah sorry it's for diamond OA only - no APCs. Yeah many many journals would be excluded that way in that they wouldn't be invited to apply - and usually journals only apply because we ask them to (because otherwise most haven't heard of us!). DOAJ might be of some help in your quest but I haven't used it much.
@alexh unfortunately DOAJ is full of commercial publishers. Apparently I'm interested in something weird... Might have to make my own list.
