How News Agencies Help Nazis:

Virtually every news article about Nazi agitprop, such as a stickers, flyers, or pamphlets encourages people to report Nazi activity to law enforcement. These news orgs might as well be telling people to write a note and set it on fire.

It is not illegal to be a nazi in the US and hate speech is protected by the constitution. By encouraging people to report legal Nazi activity to law enforcement, they are insuring that nothing happens to the Nazis.

Cops will not do anything with information submitted to them about legal local fascist activity except protect the Nazis against people like us who will try to stop them.

Even if cops wanted to charge fascists for distributing racist or antisemitic materials, like the Sheriff the GDL is currently beefing with, all they can get them on is littering. A very small fine.

@COSAntiFascists thank you. Even aside from the “report to lw enforcement” part, the way that news outlets (primarily local TV news) report on these is pretty universally counterpreductive. Nazis distro them with the explicit intention of making the news, who will then just give a boost to the nazi propaganda
