The City of Minneapolis actually thinks they can rebuild the goddamn third precinct police station. There is a fast and furious "engagement" process presenting it to residents as a choice of location only. So far the community's answer has been: fuck off, we hated having those bastards' shitty clubhouse over here and they never did anyone any good. Cops are getting boo'd out of meetings. City officials are overwhelmed and surprised, they thought they could pull one over (why??).

The people of Minneapolis burned that shit down for a fucking reason and we like it gone.

@antidotezine I was once detained by cops in Minneapolis after a fight with a road rager. He attacked me, I was the one who called the cops, and a driver in a different car made it explicitly clear he was the aggressor, but he was also wearing a "Let's Go Brandon" shirt so the lead cop decided it was my fault and held me until video from my dash cam (which he 'confiscated') proved I was right.
@antidotezine thing is, I'm white passing and pretty charismatic in person, so I managed to convince the cops who were watching me that I was their buddy. Even had one explicitly state the whole thing was bullshit and fuck the detective when it was over. The trick is to let them do the talking and just give them enough encouragement to continue, implying that you with them and admire them without coming out and saying it.
@antidotezine 99% of what we talked about involved the seething contempt they had for the people of Minneapolis, whom they made it very clear they view as subhuman animals to be controlled. They never explicitly said anything racist, but they made it very clear where they stood with comments about how they can't talk about who the problem is cuz it isn't "politically correct" anymore. Also made it clear that they enjoy violence against unarmed civilians.
@antidotezine The boomers were programmed by the powers that be to view police as noble upholders of the law. We need to move past that. We need to see them as what they are: a tyrant's occupying army, composed of psychopathic monsters so morally depraved that a solid argument could be made that they should not be entitled to human rights.
