Marine wildlife such as seabirds, whales, fish and turtles mistake plastic waste for prey; most then die of starvation as their stomachs become filled with plastic.

@npr_bot From now on CBC (and all news organizations, really) should refer to Twitter as “Saudi-funded Twitter” (because it is) and use this opportunity to completely abandon the platform. It treats journalists and news organizations with disdain while elevating hate and promoting fake news. They should start their own Mastodon servers which would provide news dissemination they control and which is not influenced by a childish billionaire.
