I see quite a few stores carrying Pi 4 8GB kits around the world, so keep an eye on Adafruit this coming week. Hopefully they will have some single boards for us.

@dirkhh Mastodon alerts, at least for me, are really slow. I only get them 10-15 minutes after the fact, which is useless for US alerts.

My telegram channel is probably the fastest, I get alerts within a few seconds. (assuming you don't want to use Twitter)

@rpilocator - I just installed telegram, but I'm not familiar with it. Can you put country and/or device restrictions on the alerts with that tool?
