There is no reason why journalists need to be there with all of Musk's fuckery with NPR and NYTimes. Less than 30% of the US is on twitter and much fewer is on regularly. Even if the actual audience was larger, there is no excuse that justifies making money for a far right bigot. Musk has made no secret of his world view and his attempts to manipulate information to fit that world view.
