This government is an abject failure and an embarrassment and the housing situation in Ireland is untenable. I’d say it’s at the point where the #EU should be getting involved on #HumanRights grounds.

For comparison: You might get 2 vedroom rooftop apartment in the Center of Cologne for that.

I just checked the Daft app (yes, the main property app/site here is called “daft”) and this is the one and only property currently available for rent in the city of Kilkenny. We have a population of over 26,000.
That's horrendous. That's more than I pay for the mortgage on my 4 bed detached in Northern Ireland. House prices up here are the cheapest in the UK I think.
