Going through Star Wars with the boy (10). (Eps. 4–9 only. We told him if he wants to see 1–3, he'll have to watch them on his own time in college.)

The Last Jedi was tonight. Floating Leia: “Uh…?”, and afterward, he immediately what-ifs about the Holdo maneuver — just like we all did. (Good kid.)

After a rewatch, I love TLJ even more. Totally holds up, and totally underrated. Quite possibly the best of its trilogy.

@marcoarment Yoda’s scene with Luke at the burning tree is, I think, the most beautiful and poignant scene in all of Star Wars.

Learning from our failure, teaching out of our failure, “we are what they grow beyond”…the whole scene is excellent.
