If we are gonna be worry about Feinstein and Mitch - we can not blind ourselves to Biden - it’s time for someone younger more vigorous; this in fact is what Steve Schmidt is indirectly pointing to - he’s not off his rocker https://youtu.be/xdsyKCEwWcY RT @ForeignSubstance
@plutus @rubecube12 @johnserwach @ForeignSubstance no it isn’t the time. We need an experienced leader and that is Biden at this moment. He’s perfectly capable of performing as president. So stop the ageism and stand up for democracy.
@Janef @plutus @rubecube12 @johnserwach Inclined to agree, but cognizant of the fact that should Biden win he would be mid-80s by the end of a second term. That's not an automatic DQ of course, but it is *seriously* old, and while we (rightly) celebrate those who have full or even good function at that age, we celebrate such for a reason—it's not so common.

The 85 of today is not the same as the 85 of even 50 years ago.

Not like Biden is suffering from Gout! 😂

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @Janef @plutus No, it's not the same. Today's 85 is more like 75 from 50 years ago.

But 50 years ago, 75 was still *seriously* old.

@ForeignSubstance @plutus @Janef @rubecube12 I disagree.

Todays 85 is closer to 65 imo. Of course a lot of it depends on your working conditions, genes and lifestyle choices.

Franklin made it to 84 but had suffered from gout for 30 years but still effective until close to the end. And that was 250 years ago?

2/4 grandparents in my family made it to 94- one had cancer 3 times and polio. My mom is 81 and has smoke 2 packs a day for 67 years. 🤷🏻‍♂️
