It's like ChatGPT from OpenAI but it's actually open(source) 🎉. It has been trained on the largest human interaction dataset in existence, created by the community since around last Christmas 🙏.
You can access it for free and so far with my (very limited) experience can say it is on the level with ChatGPT
@machine_revolution It's really cool, although compared to ChatGPT (I tried the free/GPT-3.5 version) it doesn't seem to do as well with the foreign-language-proofreading task as ChatGPT does. Nonetheless...
Open Assistant takes more retries to get to a desired answer, and ChatGPT told me what was wrong grammatically on the first try, including the two mistakes in the ChatGPT sentence: the tense of "sprechst" (= "spricht") and the category suffix of "Amerikaner" (= "Amerikanisch")
