The most shocking reveal for me was the fact that every time you transport, a part of you is replaced by “standard” patterns which supposedly “all life forms share”. So all these years, we’ve been mislead into thinking transporters are safe while the process seems to irreversibly change you.

And who picks what’s the standard bits? 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

@konstantin I'm only laughing cuz even in the #StarTrek 24th century I'm pretty sure that the Federation were still not 100% exactly sure how all genes expressed, and so they wouldn't possibly be messing with something like "standard" DNA sequences - cuz that's just asking for trouble.
@kcarr2015 well, it seems even 35 years ago, the Borg knew more about genes than the federation scientists.
