Has anyone got any examples of #crypto bros being cured?
Like finally figuring out that their whole web 3.0 thing is a scam that's directly contradictory in terms of practice vs principles?

@BridgetClinch DONE!
So yeah, basically got into crypto in 2017 simply through FOMO. Then kind of started to dig into the concepts and tech more and on paper, it all sounded great and interesting.
I gave huge benefits of the doubt to crypto tech and community. When press would talk about energy pollution, I bought the argument that it's temporary, they will figure out how to mine in a clean way. Or go away from mining altogether.
When press talked about scams, I thought it was an outlier.
@BridgetClinch COVID was an interesting point of inflection. Made great money in the space post covid, but then I saw it get super silly:
- scams increased exponentially
- energy use increased and never abated
- main participants did not care about technology nor clean tech nothing but insisted people buy crypto.
- most importantly, pretty much all crypto hardcore people just went nuts with conspiracy theories about covid. That was a turning around point for me personally
@BridgetClinch NFT prices was a signal that we are at a major mania. Took my profits and moved on. I still own crypto but much smaller amounts.
The space is a honeypot for scammers and grifters. Also it seems to attract psychopaths and just people that appear to hate other human beings. They have no compassion and are just very "fundamentalist". Attacking government institutions, media, etc. Not very different from musk boy.
