Two hearings at the same time: one running on the computer with headphones, one running over the ipad with its audio.

I see no way this can possibly go wrong.

I mean I've gotten more confident in the course of my career but I am not as confident as some of these attorneys who appear in court by video dressed like they're working on a shrimp boat or waking up from a three-day binge
MUTE YOUR MICROPHONE ON PHONE AND VIDEO COURT HEARINGS WHEN YOU AREN'T TALKING FOR GOD'S SAKE PEOPLE
I'm sorry I don't mean to be ageist, I mean I'm getting older myself, but if you can't figure out how to mute your mic maybe you need to climb into your Oldsmobile and drive on down to the courthouse Elmer
@Popehat
Because Zoom conferences became a frequent thing in the pandemic I bought a ~$20 USB microphone with a physical mute button and an LED indicator and I can't imagine someone who does zoom calls for their actual decently paid job, meeting with high-status strangers and competitors such as judges and opposing counsel rather than with family and academic colleagues, failing to get something similar.
@warren__terra yep literally set myself up with a driverless usb-c condenser mic at the beginning of the pandemic and never looked back. If your job relies on clear communication - and most do - you need to clear the static off the channel.
