I so wish Spotify (and honestly most algo-driven recommendation products) offered a simple “algo tune up” tool that allowed you to make coarse adjustments to the algo (and in turn help you understand it a bit better)

Artifact has done a pretty good job making me feel like I have enough control over what shows up in the feed and more importantly, if I feel like I’ve made a mistake, I can fix it.

@arainert I'm reminded about the pretty good Discover Weekly and New Release thing I had going (and only as a very very occasional user) until the one day I put on a Soothing Music For Dogs playlist while we left the house for a few hours, and that was *it* - my recommendations were entirely ruined with non-dog-related instrumentals and I stopped using Spotify after that.
