John3182How does our country heal? Silencing one side won’t work, but neither will letting the lies and bullying continue. The far right republicans seem to want to push legislation that is more and more blatantly anti democratic and more like a fascist state. I get that people don’t want something pushed into their field of view all day, but there has to be a compromise. You can’t just demand certain lifestyles be wiped from public view, it doesn’t work that way.
barryzee@John3182 As an old guy, I remember when govt worked. The Dems and Reps were willing to compromise and horsetrade when necessary in order to get things done for their constituencies. I guess the way to start is to elect candidates in both parties that live in the middle. There are moderate Rep and Dems right now that seem afraid of the extremes of their party. I guess there needs to be more of them. We need to each hold our representatives accountable to get things done.
