Watching #ElderScrollsOnline stream about the #Necrom expansion, and I'm as conflicted as ever. I love books, libraries, knowledge, the complexity of it all, even the conceptual realm/focus of #HermaeusMora.

I HATE cosmic horror, icky stuff, and, essentially, every creature that populates Apocrypha. So I will drag myself through this expansion loving the themes and hating the aesthetic. Sigh.

(ZOS, please please don't make all the bookish furnishings tentacled...) 🙏

"What is the Apocrypha version of microfiche?"

BE STILL MY #LIBRARIAN HEART. Bless that #ElderScrollsOnline dev who was willing to say that aloud. 😍

Downside of this #ElderScrollsOnline stream, which happens with almost every single one of their announcements: eight people have appeared on stage so far. A white woman, one of the senior community managers, is moderating the conversation. Every dev/content creator/story writer so far has been a white man. Depressingly common.
Okay, happily, I spoke slightly too soon. Two more white women community managers are speaking now. I do notice that the women are almost always in community (i.e., public-facing, social interacting, something something expectations of presence/appearance) roles. I think I've seen two? non-white and/or men in dev roles in my last few years of #ElderScrollsOnline announcement watching. I'm sure they exist, but why do they not get to present?
