To celebrate this Round Number Milestone, I have donated $200 to RIP Medical Debt, which buys and then pays off medical debt in the US, for pennies on the dollar. $200 pays off $20K in medical debt, so that's $1 of medical debt wiped out for each of my followers here. Greg Titus@atomicbird @scalzi Essentially you make a company that IS a debt collection agency and buy the (discounted) debt from hospitals or other agencies just like they do.
