lj·rk@simonlbn @sophieschmieg @austern My ideas included saws (just like the XKCD on parking), tape/paint that resembles bike lane markings to be deployed on the parking car to mark it as bike lane, spikes on my pedals for closely passing-by, ... .
There are legal options of course, but that would make my commuting take hours. I just need to walk down the street to call the cops 3x.

And they'd probably try to wiggle out by claiming they weren't endangering anyone. And even if... a ticket doesn't hurt as much as a car towed away :/
I really wish there was a better way or higher fees, like substantially higher.
@ljrk @simonlbn @austern at least around here, there is usually a "no stopping at any time" zone covering the bike lane, so it should result in a ticket at the very least. Plus forcing a biker on the main street is always endangering someone in my books, but yeah, it's really a question of enforcement
@sophieschmieg @simonlbn @austern Police is kind of well-known here for trying to dismiss false parking as a risk to the road :'-)
Although I personally almost always prefer main road over bike lane: At least I'm visible there.
@sophieschmieg I sometimes have similar fantasies, especially when I'm biking home on Middlefield in the evening and passing the soccer field between Terra Bella and Sierra Vista.
