Finished reinstalling the shed off-grid solar system. Much cleaner and properly wired this time. The battery is too small for the system, but enough for the current workload! Thanks again to super mouse @twigmouse for help figuring out how to do this right!
@thumper @twigmouse I’m curious what your load is that can draw up to a kilowatt of power, but for not more then 15 minutes total in a charging cycle.
@Straander The load I have right now is lights and chargers for cordless tools, like 100w. The battery is only 20A sustained load so I can only do 240w with that battery anyway. The inverter is sized for future when I want to run actual power tools, and for that I'd have a battery 4-5x bigger :)
@thumper ahhh. Makes sense now
@Straander Mostly it was just an opportunity to learn and add some convenience to the shed.
