Indeed I feel you may be correct. I too increased my support last month feeling I can do better at this point in my life especially after learning of their supporting budget falling the last last two+ years. Local stations receive something like federal underwriting, and many areas need that, but I cannot think that affects their reporting decisions. I have been impressed for years with NPR and our public radio station. They perform a great public service and they deserve our support.
