why do I support right to repair? simple: i want to upload my own MIDI files to my washing machine to play when it finishes a cycle without voiding my warranty

Same. But the person who does most the laundry has only a Kindle Fire, which doesn't have the app on it. So I get the notifications even though I'm Nat even at home.
