@Volko I've previously had no interest in this era, but somehow this game has manage to intrigue me now! Looks pretty neat, would it work as a first foray into L&C?
(also, since they're fairly close in time to eachother would there be a possibility that playing the other Henry L&C game about Agincourt would have any effect on the setup of Plantaganet?)
@evildrganymede
Outstanding!
I expect that it will work as a first foray. A good chunk of the other volumes' movement and combat rules fall away, as there is no combat against strongholds, and only a single type of transport, Carts. For battle, there are no horse units and no pesky flanking rules either.
On the other side, there is accounting of overall influence and the need to wager it in influence checks to gain locales' favour and to muster lords, none of which exists in the other volumes.
I suspect Plantagenet is of overall lower rules weight. But it also will have the least in common with the rest of the Series.
Henry is quite distinct again, despite its setting's proximity. The type of war going on, its course and objectives, were very different in the Agincourt campaign than in the Wars of the Roses.
But Henry, like Plantagenet and all Levy & Campaign, will share common core game elements -- levy, transport, feed, service, supply, battle, and so on -- here rather streamlined, as Henry we intend to be the main entry volume.
