#COVID19 is still deadlier than the flu. Not only are many more people hospitalized with COVID than flu, but those hospitalized with COVID have a much greater risk of dying. "The death rate at 30 days was 5.97% for COVID-19 and 3.75% for influenza. Compared with hospitalization for influenza, hospitalization for COVID-19 was associated with a 61% higher risk of death." Risks were much greater in the unvaccinated, those with only 1 or 2 vaccinations and those over 65.

I might have thought it would be higher. But really this illustrates that flu is no picnic either, despite societies misguided concept that 'its only flu'
