Please read the comments to this before you post the same things over and over. Thanks.

Do you remember how the United States reacted when Cuba held nukes for Russia? Yeah me too.

Has NATO stopped dangling the "join NATO" prize above Ukraine's head yet? Not like they've been dying lately for the US's interests or anything.

Oh what's that? Finland you say? Oh.. Right... Thanks Ukraine, here you go Finland! 🥴

(Waits to be called an anti-war idiot again and all the claims NATO is "defensive" while members are creeping towards Russia provoking potential further conflicts)

You either want peace and are willing to make talks for it (Looking at you Ukraine, cause we know Russia won't), or you're willing to sacrifice human lives for X reason(s).

Finland joins NATO in historic shift, Russia threatens 'counter-measures'

Finland formally joined NATO on Tuesday, its flag unfurling outside the military bloc's Brussels headquarters, in a historic policy shift brought on by Russia's invasion of Ukraine that drew a threat from Moscow of "counter-measures."

Maybe sacrificing lives is the price you have to pay to stop rape, murder, torture, child abduction, cultural despoliation, vandalism, theft, and genocide, when the perpetrator, as you point out, is not interested in "talks".

@ToniScott Boris Johnson told Ukraine that they shouldn't do peace talks. And since then there hasn't been any attempt. Ukraine is getting screwed by the US by being denied NATO membership while giving it to Finland and potentially Sweden. The US and it's NATO allies got what they wanted at the cost of Ukrainian lives. So while Russia gets to be the big bad wolf the West wants you to focus on (While true), you're ignoring the rest of the story. The US is just as much Ukraine's enemy as Russia.

The US is not preventing Ukraine's entry to NATO. Ukraine is aware that to meet NATO entry standards will require some work. "As a civilized partner who shares the values and visions of NATO, we are convinced that we must first accomplish certain tasks concerning criteria, compatibility and state-political stability that will allow us to finally state: "We are ready and able to pass the test on membership through ratification by partner parliaments". (Iryna Friz).

@ToniScott Can you share a link to that quote for me? Was it within one of the embeded articles from the one I shared, I looked and couldn't find it. The article I linked pretty clearly states that the US is opposed to Ukraine joining NATO.

I don't think Ukraine would consider sudden peace talks with Russia if they had doubts of a place at the table for NATO membership.
