No one is dumb enough to think expelling the two Black men while keeping the white woman is anything but a huge racist flare sent soaring into the sky. They sent a pointedly racist message because that’s the message they very much want to send.

@FrancisWilkinson You could also read it as a message that women aren't worth seriously engaging with.

Plus, by doing this they've put her in bind. If she resigns in solidarity, _they_ didn't kick her out. They can say she left of her own accord. But if she doesn't resign, she's going to feel complicit in their horrible maneuvers.

None of which is to say they aren't _also_ sending a giant racist message. Various types of garbage are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary.
