TV confession: I've just turned on #PrimeTV NZ part way through a 12 hour programme! #GoSouth is a train trip through Aotearoa from Auckland to the far south. Mostly landscape but sometimes too much train. Almost meditative.Sound is minimal - a slow chug of the diesel train.🛤️ 🚆 🏞️ and ⬛ of Otira tunnel which is 8.5km long.

@Kay we watched this with the now Toddler when they were a tiny baby during the first lockdown.

It's hypnotic and I blame it for the little one's unending love of trains. 🚂🛤️

@pezmico introductions to objects s a great boon to future education. Our kid was fascinated by diggers as there was lots of construction work in their first memories neighbourhood. Introducing picture books like "You Can Name 100 Trucks" and "The Little Yellow Digger" was an easy sell. 🚚

There are so many train books to entice a beginning reader too!! 🚂 🚋 🚆 🛤️
