*HEAVY SIGH*

Americans. #Retrogaming

(I know, NOT ALL etc)

@Retroid bet you say retro, they say crash bandicoot too

@Alex The annoying this is they're an arcade & games store who regularly repair early 1980s arcade stuff.

I know the Atari STs weren't exactly a blazing success in the US, but.... Y'KNOW

@Retroid not usually one for replying on youtube videos, but damn, that's embarrasing
@Retroid Should respond by recording a video where the thumbnail and title are "OMG! Console we've never heard of", and it's a NES.
@Timberwolf @Retroid Hello yes? Why did you not mention this before the 1st?!
@Retroid I loved my 520STFM upgraded to 1mb of ram. Did get annoyed at the games that were never quite as good as their Amiga equivalents. 😊

@UKFilmNerd I was always in the Amiga camp but VERY NEARLY ended up with an ST first - they ended up being out of stock!

(Good job really as those ones had a single-sided drive)

Since picked up an STE and MY GOD THE WASTED POTENTIAL. I was shocked at how little used the actually quite nice extra hardware :(

@Retroid my friend had an STE, I don't remember many games taking advantage.

Ooh, I've just remembered when the Amiga got Monkey Island and Lucasfilm decided not to produce an ST version. 😡

@UKFilmNerd Those things STILL BURN.

Even when you count the fan hacks years since there's really not much which truly takes advantage, but there are a few nice ones like that Lotus hack which has MUCH better track scrolling.

@Retroid ooh Ill have to YouTube that one. It's like watching the games and demos that are created for the ZX Spectrum today,a former machine of mine, utterly amazing!
@Retroid That appeared in my recommendations, and I was so confused. I kept searching the thumbnail image like it was a game of Where's Wally. I assumed the obscure Atari must be the one still in the box behind that 1040ST.
